A community of food enthusiasts gathered at AEON Mall Binh Tan (HCMC) last week for the one of the biggest culinary event of the week, where they had the chance to experience five taste sauces adjusted to be suited for VN consumers from Nisshin Seifun Welna. Though this renowned Japanese brand is already familiar to many foodies, they now have the convenience of enjoying these delicious flavors under Japan quality without traveling to Japan.

For their debut, Nisshin Seifun Welna introduced three Pasta Sauce flavors and two Rice Cooking Sauce flavors, offering a tastier and more convenient dining experience, along with a selection of frying Chicken Powder, Fritter Powder, Steam Bun Powder and Korean Bread Powder backed by the brand’s over 120-year legacy. Aiming to bring convenient ready-to-eat sauces closer to everyone, Nisshin Seifun Welna hosted a grand tasting event featuring 5 pasta and rice dishes, prepared by the top chefs Le Quang Chon.

Not missing out on the culinary event, the “foodie” trio from the Cam Cam Family arrived early to sample the free dishes. Known for their nearly 200 vlogs on food experiences and home cooking, the Cam Cam Family invests significant effort in creating meals that please the entire household. However, at the Nisshin Seifun Welna grand tasting, all three were pleasantly surprised by how delicious the pasta was despite being ready in just a few minutes.
Kien Hoang (Cam’s dad), who has previously cooked pasta for his family, admitted that getting the sauce right was always the most challenging part. But after watching the chefs at the event prepare pasta in just two simple steps – boiling the noodles and mixing them with Nisshin Seifun Welna’s pre-measured Pasta Sauce – he felt relieved knowing he wouldn’t have to stress in the kitchen anymore. After tasting the dish, he praised the rich flavor of stewed meat and the mild sweetness of fruit and vegetables in the Meat Pasta Sauce.
As a fan of spicy food, Heo Mi Nhon (Cam’s mom) favored the Spicy Meat Pasta Sauce. In addition to the rich meat flavor, it had a delightful kick of chili. Meanwhile, eight-year-old Cam Cam couldn’t get enough of the mild, delicious flavor of the Mushroom Cheese Pasta Sauce. Each family member found their favorite sauce and took home tips for Worry-Free Cooking, learning how to prepare restaurant-quality pasta at home in just two to three minutes with these easy-to-use sauces.

Travel blogger Khoai Lang Thang was also spotted by passersby sampling Nisshin Seifun Welna’s rice dishes at the event. In addition to his global travels, he is a renowned food reviewer with a keen palate, extensive knowledge of international specialties, and experience conducting food tours in Japan.

After inhaling the aromas of the sauce and savoring the authentic flavor in every grain of hot rice, Khoai Lang Thang shared that Nisshin Seifun Welna’s Rice Cooking Sauce Pork and Mushroom impressed him from the very first taste. Not only was the dish delicious, but the visually appealing golden-brown color also showcased the refined culinary tastes of Japanese cuisine.

After sampling the classic Japanese-style rice dish, Khoai Lang Thang also tried the “lazy rice” featuring Nisshin Seifun Welna’s Rice Cooking Sauce Sweet Potato and Corn. Nicknamed “lazy rice” for its simplicity – simply mixing the sauce with the rice before cooking – this dish offers a uniquely sweet and delicious flavor that appeals to any home-cooked rice enthusiast.

Attendees were also excited to check out the giant “Quick Pasta” and “Lazy Rice” displays, snap photos, and immerse themselves in Japanese culture with traditional Taiko drumming performances.
